Hilda Smith is the lead artist and co-founder of Hera Art. She set up the project (originally called Hera Products) with her friend Eric in 1998. As well as running the centre, she teaches art classes to children and adults and produces art herself. She holds a degree in Art and Design.

Ros Lee is always enthusiastically involved in any activities and fundraising events.

Jayne Dando is invaluable to Hilda as an administrative consultant and helps with the children's parties.

Ellie Williams is invaluable to Hilda; she sets up the tables ready for art class on a Wednesday, ensures all students have their water pots ready, and makes the tea and lovely cakes.

Nicola Powell-Hill coordinates events and organises our amazing get-togethers for Christmas and other events.

Janice Thomas is always ready to help and is a regular attender of the classes.

Tina Rae is Hera's earliest student and is still a member. She also acts as unofficial scribe for the centre, writing blurbs and even some of this website.

Elinor Griffiths has been doing art with Hilda since the age of eight. She has had many commissions and sold quite a few pieces. She has won many awards, helps Hilda with exhibitions, and is an excellent member of the class.

Rich Smith administrates this website.

Eric Wright set up Hera with Hilda in 1998. Prior to retiring, Professor Eric Wright, DSc, MD, FRCP, FRCPath, was a pathologist. He sadly passed away in February 2009.

Richard Acreman was also an artist and helped run Hera. He sadly passed away in September 2014.

Vivien Davies taught card making and jewellery. With much sadness our dear friend Vivien Davies (Viv) passed away in July 2024.
